Great Orme Tramway

Britain’s only cable-hauled public road tramway takes you to the summit of the Great Orme where the views can, on a good day, include Blackpool and the Isle of Man. The Halfway Station houses a fascinating museum of the tramway’s history. Opened in 1902, the tramway has been lovingly restored so that you can relive the travel experience of over a 100 years ago.

Llandudno’s Beaches

Llandudno has two award-winning beaches, both less than a 10 minute walk on the flat from Apartments at Hamilton. North Shore sits between the Great Orme and Little Orme, and offers a traditional seaside feel with its stunning pier, Punch and Judy show, boat rides, amusements and so much more. West Shore offers a quieter alternative with rugged walks, water sports and spectacular sunsets.

The Great Orme Bronze Age Mines

Discovered in 1987 the Copper Mines on the Great Orme represent an astounding archaeological site dating back some 2,000 years before the Romans arrived in Britain. It is a work in progress as mining engineers and archaeologists uncover more of the tunnel network, offering a unique insight into prehistoric society.
